How long are the sessions?
Do you take my insurance?
We take Soonercare/Medicaid and most commercial insurance. We will bill these insurance companies for you. If we don’t take your insurance, you can use private/cash pay, or we will provide a superbill, and you can file the claims yourself. It is also possible that you have ‘out-of-network’ benefits.
Give us a call, and we can check for you.
Do you have a waitlist?
How long until we can get started with therapy?
Where will you see my child?
How long will it take for my child to get better?
Just as each person is unique, so is the answer to this question.
The other explanation is – it depends. The length of time depends on the following: how long your child has struggled with these challenges, how many underlying difficulties are present, how much support you have in this process, how old your child is, how motivated your child and you are to make a change, whether therapy appointments are consistently attended, etc.
You will be participating in progress reports and kept informed as treatment progresses.
How quickly each child responds to treatment varies.
Do you use ABA techniques?
We believe in using evidence-based treatments that work with children. Children and all people deserve and respond to kindness, dignity, and respect.
We also believe that people respond to motivation and reinforcers, both internal and external, and realize that some of our work may appear to be ‘ABA-like.’ However, we are occupational and speech therapists, our bodies of knowledge and training.
Do you work with adults?
OU or OSU?
The answer here is both – we love both state schools for several reasons.
Laura went to OU, even though her mom was a HUGE OSU Cowboys fan, because OU offered occupational therapy as a major, and OSU didn’t. So, it was Boomer Sooner for her, and her son also graduated from OU. UCO is also a great school!
We like and root for them all (well, except for when they play each other!).
