Lauri Bowles –
Occupational Therapist
Concern and caring for families have been my standard since I began working with children in 1984 after graduation from college. Work in the schools started a few short years later in the Putnam City Public School and Yukon Public School districts for 23 years.
My other 15 years were spent working in pediatric rehab, inpatient mental health, and home health environments with kids and young adults.
When COVID interrupted our lives, working with my students became a priority. For those kids who could not attend school, I visited them in their homes where we would have ‘porch parties’, conducting OT sessions outside, bringing joy and relief to both of us. Therapy is fun no matter where you find yourself!
Working in the schools for many years has given me a unique perspective on each child and family I work with. Talking with parents, collecting teacher input, and assessing a child’s strengths and needs give the best picture and lead to plans for progress and healing.
My desire and commitment every day is to do my best to provide insight and solutions for the children and families with whom I work.
I know how important my family is to me… I cannot wait to meet you and your family!
Elizabeth ‘Beth’ Cassidy –
Occupational Therapy Assistant
Results-driven and compassionate with an intense dedication toward promoting health and education among children and families to best meet their goals – that’s how I describe myself. Challenges and the potential for great progress in the lives of children fuel my work ethic and lead me forward each day.
My experience as a pediatric OT assistant began in 2011, working in the schools, Headstart, and the Tulsa Sunshine Center. The children with whom I worked presented a variety of needs, including Autism, Sensory Processing Disorder, developmental delay, visual processing disorders, complex feeding problems, and handwriting.
My unique perspective on the therapy relationship with families and caregivers comes from having first-hand life experience with children with complicated medical conditions, which allows me truly to ‘put myself in their shoes.’
It is my joy to lend my caring heart, skills, and experiences to help your family.
Reeca Young –
Occupational Therapy Assistant
My greatest joy is working collaboratively with my young patients and their families to help them achieve their goals and reach their full potential.
I love learning new information and techniques to help others, and the best part of my work is seeing the big smiles when my patients are surprised by how well they can accomplish what they have set out to do!
I’ve been an OT assistant since 1983, worked in many areas of our profession, and was the former program director of the Occupational Therapy Assistant program through Oklahoma City Community College.
Knitting, crocheting, reading, and traveling are some of my favorite things, surpassed only by the love I feel when spending time with my family.
Cortney Miller –
Office Assistant
Serving families and children is a mission for me, so it brings me happiness and great satisfaction to lend my skills and assistance to the families and staff of Great Changes.
As a wife and mom of two children, the daily struggles of our families are familiar to me. I work extra hard to have patience and a listening ear as we work together to make sure everything is taken care of successfully ‘behind the scenes.’
